It's that time again! On April 25th, TEAM GEORGE will walk for the tenth time! Ten years ago, as a newborn, George was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect. Since then, we have learned a LOT about heart defects and how something like this can change a person's life. 
All the money raised in the Greater Atlanta CHD Walk goes toward research to help babies, kids, teens, and adults who live with CHD. 
Every year we see people walking "In Memory" of a child who has died because of CHD. We are happy to walk "In Honor" of George! 
We hope you can join us in person--at the walk--or in spirit--with a donation--or BOTH!

Welcome to Team George's page for the Greater Atlanta CHD Walk! We are raising money for the Children's Heart Foundation and the Adult Congenital Heart Association. 
We walk for George, who has "Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis" and "Peripheral Pulmonary Stenosis"--he was diagnosed as a baby and had open heart surgery when he was three months old. One of his conditions was repaired, but the other was not.

Mark your calendars and START early! The 2011 Atlanta heart Walk will be on Saturday, October 29th at Turner Field. Remember that all the money raised goes toward saving lives. Lives like George's...or someone's grandmother, father, sister, brother, friend...you get the idea! 
FYI...heart disease kills more women than ANY type of cancer!

Getting closer...

The walk is just over one month away! We have a small but strong and devoted team this year. Here is our roster so far:

We have such a great time every year at the walk--many are there with big companies, but team George always stands out!
